Hi, I'm Teresa. My passion for design began as a young child, sitting hours at a time in my grandfather's tailoring business in San Francisco.  I was mesmerized by the beautifully patterned fabrics as he worked tirelessly.  The relationship between the images and the patterns they formed was magic, a language I could fully express myself with.

I took this love of design, to San Francisco State University, studying Industrial Arts, with an emphasis on Graphic Communications. From SFSU, I was accepted to study Advertising Design at Chung Yuan University in Taiwan. Following my studies, I launched a career encompassing all phases of production and design.  I began at Prepress Assembly, managing complex print production jobs.  Then, I became Production Manager at MSDN, Microsoft's national developer publication.  Next, I designed brand materials as a Custom Graphic Designer at Krames/Staywell, the world's largest medical publisher.   From there, I started my own design business, working with local food companies, focusing on packaging.

Now, I've come full circle, with Chan Graphics, returning to surface pattern design, to the memories of my grandfather, to the language of part and whole. My style aspires to be vintage, with a modern twist, organic and playful, waking our imagination and memories through the design workings of florals, animals, and keepsakes of all kinds.

Thanks for dropping by. I look forward to collaborating.
